I’m a closet writer, and would like to come out of the closet soon!
I have been blogging on and off since the late 90′s, but not actively from mid 2005 thru mid 2012. I have a background in Architecture, and have owned my own residential design firm from 1997 thru 2006. The economy forced me to close up shop, but I am in transition to open up shop again. My desire to design structures is strong.
Why do I always sound like a chump when I wrote about myself? That above paragraph blows!
Anyway, I have been playing around with writing since the mid 90′s, but nothing has ever come out of it. I have participated in NaNoWriMo for more years than I’d like to say, but actually hit 50,000 words for the first time in 2011. Go me! It was total garbage, but it does show that I can do it, regardless of what my inner self continues to tell me. Seriously, I try not to listen too much to the voices inside…
Beyond writing as a hobby (hopefully to be come a career someday), I enjoy hiking in the mountains. I enjoy fishing (although I do not fish half as often as I would like). I enjoy building things from wood. I love sports, specially football (Go Bronco’s!). I live in one of the best towns in the nation (Littleton, CO) with my wife, teenage daughter ( your apology is accepted) and 2 cats.
What will you find here on my blog? All sorts of stuff! I will write about writing mostly. I will write about life, and how I feel about things that affect my own. I will most likely not write about politics or religion too much, as I feel everyone deserves their own opinion of them and nobody should challenge my own thoughts and beliefs. I will write about my hiking, as well as our family travels. I will also post the occasional photo, as I am an amateur photographer. Just click on one of the menu’s above for quick links to some of my writing and photography work.
I also write a health and fitness blog over here. It’s called Healthy Living. Stop by and say Howdy!
If you would like to contact me, feel free to email me at live2dive@gmail.com (yes, I scuba dive, and I love it!), I look forward to hearing from you.
